The 17th ITS European Congress, taking place 27–29 April 2026 in Istanbul, will bring together stakeholders from Europe and beyond to explore pioneering solutions for integrated, safe and seamless mobility.
The ITS Congresses are unique events in smart mobility and intelligent transport where industry experts, policy makers, academics, researchers, and public authorities come together to present real-world solutions, innovations and technologies.
Through high-level expert dialogues, technical sessions, live demonstrations, and exhibitions, each Congress highlights how innovation is improving everyday mobility and transport.
Organised by ERTICO–ITS Europe, in collaboration with the European Commission and hosted by the Istanbul Metropolitan Municipality & ISBAK, the Congress aligns with major European and global initiatives, including the European Green Deal and the Sustainable and Smart Mobility Strategy.
Reflecting the European goals in mobility and transport, these events become the epicentre of Europe’s intelligent transport conversation. From research and pilot projects to concrete real-world deployment of everyday solutions and services, the Congress aim to advance smarter, safer, and more sustainable ways of moving people and goods.
The Congress will spotlight how local innovations – such as Istanbul’s ambitious Sustainable Urban Mobility Plan and its integration of digital mobility services – contribute to wider European objectives for a sustainable and connected transport future. Istanbul’s strategic position bridging Europe and Asia, together with its investments in smart, accessible, and resilient transport systems, make it an inspiring venue to present scalable mobility solutions.
