Project partner

Polis is a network of European cities and regions dedicated to implementing innovative sustainable urban mobility solutions. It promotes cooperation and partnerships throughout Europe with the goal of making transport research and innovation accessible to cities and regions. The network strives to enhance local transportation through integrated strategies that address the economic, social, and environmental aspects of transport. Polis is engaged in a multitude of EU projects related to urban transport and mobility, including those in the areas of health and environment, traffic management and intelligent transport systems, road safety, and social and economic accessibility. Polis possesses comprehensive expertise in dissemination, policy recommendations, and guidance on a broad spectrum of urban mobility-related topics aimed at local authorities.

Within the SUM project, Polis participates in various work packages. It assists in defining the specifications and needs of the Living Lab. Polis is responsible for leading the development of guidelines for the successful integration of new and shared modes into Sustainable Urban Mobility Plans (SUMPs), as well as providing policy recommendations specifically targeted at European Institutions, national and regional/local institutional stakeholders in shared mobility, industry, and service providers. Additionally, Polis is involved in the communication activities of SUM, overseeing the creation of the Communication and Dissemination Strategy, as well as the visual identity and guidelines for SUM, and supports engagement with CIVITAS Cities and other ongoing initiatives.
