The Chair of Traffic Engineering and Control at the Technical University of Munich (TUM) is a member of the Living Lab Munich together with the City of Munich and Sixt. The TUM is using the open-source simulation tool FleetPy to create a digital twin of real-world ride-hailing and ride-pooling operations. FleetPy is used to evaluate different operational strategies respectively the scaling and transfer of new and shared mobility services to other areas. Among other things, user interaction, routing, vehicle charging strategy, and coordination/integration with public transport will be considered. In a further step, the simulation tool will be extended for the evaluation of price acceptance and nudging measures. Together with the other partners, TUM is accompanying the introduction of new mobility services in the city of Munich.
