The Krakow Living Lab focuses on predicting shared fleet availability, managing on-demand fleet services, coordinating NSM with public transport, and integrating NSM with public transport ticketing systems.
To address the challenges of declining public transport use, integration of ticketing between modes, inadequate infrastructure and limited access in peripheral areas, Krakow’s SUMP aims to improve cooperation between transport operators, pedestrian/bicycle infrastructure, electric mobility, safety measures, inclusivity and emissions reduction.
Interventions include car-free zones, traffic restrictions, paid parking zones, low emission zones, public bike hire, demand-responsive transport, improved public transport accessibility, cycle/pedestrian paths and park-and-ride facilities.
