The SUM project took its latest developments on sustainable urban mobility to an international stage at the ITS World Congress 2024 in Dubai. As part of the EU Pavilion on the project partner ERTICO – ITS Europe stand, SUM was showcased throughout the event, giving delegates the opportunity to interact with experts and explore the project’s innovations through interactive screens.
The SUM project was highlighted in presentation by partners Dr Tamara Djukic and Iuliia Skorykova, who discussed the integration of new mobility services and the future of urban transport. Their session provided valuable discussions on the evolving challenges and opportunities in the mobility sector, with a particular focus on sustainable urban mobility. The presentation was followed by a showcase of the metaCCAZE project, another initiative within the CIVITAS NMS cluster.
Dr Djukic also moderated the Global MaaS/MoD Forum. The forum addressed the key challenges of mobility, accessibility and digital transformation through interactive sessions and panel discussions.
Through its participation at the ITS World Congress 2024, the SUM project not only highlighted its commitment to sustainable urban development but also underscored its presence and alignment with global climate-neutrality goals, contributing to a greener and more resilient future for cities. SUM continues to remain visible in professional and urban practice circles, with upcoming appearances at key events like the CIVITAS Forum, ensuring its influence on the future of urban mobility stays strong and forward-thinking.
